Sneaker collaborations are often an opportunity for an artist to spread influence beyond their core audience. In the case of this new adidas Originals ZX 700 ‘M2’ by Matsu of the J-Pop group EXILE, the opportunity was there, but Three Stripes chose to keep these a Japanese exclusive. One look makes it evident that even without the name recognition, these would have moved units at US Originals stores, because the blacked out suede and leather upper adding a subtle color burst by way of a galaxy print lining is a look that epitomizes a style of dress that’s currently quite popular.
Just because it’s not covered in the easily printable mesh that makes the Flux so slick, there’s no reason why this more storied OG ZX runner can’t have its own mulitcolor patterned styles. Check out these two new adidas originals zx 700, both of which have been treated to high-contrast primary color designs, with patterned linings that add an extra dimension to pairs that otherwise have a sort of miadidas look to them.
The adidas Originals ZX 700 has been a little quieter as the long-awaited 710 retro has finally happened for 2014. The 700 picked an excellent colorway with which to return, this mix of navy blue suede and mesh appointed with soft pink accents, all sandwiched between white on the soles and sockliners. These have all the versatility associated with the navy or grey runners of yore, with those soft pink hits adding a hospitable personality.
Fresh off the debut of the premium Timberland-esque “Wheat” colorway, adidas Originals presents yet another autumnal take on its adidas originals zx 700 dames runner. Decked out in long grain oak-colored suede with matching leather Three Stripes branding, the shoe sports a white midsole, black traction outsole, and a bright orange external heel counter – thus giving the shoe a bit of a hunting-inspired vibe that’s perfect for fall.
